Brownies

This is based on my mom's recipe. It depended on the original Crisco which is no longer available. I adjusted it some to work, more or less, with butter.

        7/8     stick   butter                  7 T
        2       oz      Baker's unsweetened     1/2 pkg
        1       T       oil (optional)          makes it denser

        7/8     C       sugar                   170 g
        2               eggs

        3/4     C       flour                   100 g
        1/2     t       baking powder
        1/4     t       salt

• This is for an 8 inch glass cooking dish.
• Whisk the dry ingredients with a large fork.
• Beat the sugar and eggs with the fork.
• Melt the oils on the lowest heat and whisk together with the fork. Add to the sugar and eggs and beat. Add the dry ingredients and mix.
• Bake at 350 F for 24 min or about 190 F internal. Coming from the oven, the center will be slightly sticky.
